hohkay i did not expect to be making this thread but here we are: a thread to discuss the TCP sexuality stuff we've been working on for the past while or so- more publicly anyhow, and not just cordoned to discord. it could be fun to talk things over with people, demystify the concept a bit after having it be cold turkey "don't fucking touch this" for so long, and talk about canon characters and ideas for different typings.

what we will be doing in this thread
- discussing TCP sexuality/kink stuff
- discussing canon characters
- discussing fan characters if people want to volunteer stuff and ask for discussion on that, i'm open to it
- asking each other questions about things to help develop our characters and yours- please make sure to specify if you're not personally open to people asking/commenting on stuff when posting. otherwise, i'm going to say it's fair game, and we'll do the same in our own posts.
- posting goofy doodles (that follow the rules)
- allowing people to ask for common cultural trends regarding sexuality for different types- these will not be universal truths, and more just ideas that come to mind for us. these may also be very fucking weird and have unspoilered kink talk, even in the cases of horror, gore, and vore/cannibalism stuff.  due to TCPs being very atypical in their culture compared to complexes, especially food and body types, i'm gonna say that spoiler necessities are only applicable to what you personally feel like needs to be spoilered, and is only 100% mandatory for discussing stuff that would be banned in pornographic contexts but allowed in character backstories- ie, talking about stuff like sexual assault. i dont want to limit people (including ourselves) from talking about those kinds of backstories/situations and how they tie into a character's sexuality, but please don't make the backstory itself a kink thing, etc. 
- being open to new things and not going "ewww, gross." you don't have to be into it, but keep any negativity to yourself.
- having a fun time and playing around with ideas together

- not following overarching rules on what kind of TCP content is allowed to be produced and posted. while some things are canon to the worldbuild, such as TCPs engaging in more complex-similar/explicit sex acts due to the vastness of what characters are into, i don't want to have to moderate both posting and engagement with that.  if you're unsure what's banned/in the rules, refer to the dex here.
- asking people to engage in your kinks directly- this is an Objective Discussion Thread and i don't want flirting or propositioning here. be cool and don't slide into peoples' DMs either- if this happens, you are allowed to report people.

ok here with some unstructured rambling to start. i've been thinking a lot about raggedy- one of my TCP pseudo-sonas who is also known as the friendzoo guy. i've always kind of pictured him toying with stuff but not really knowing where to start with him... his personality is fairly defined at this point, but it feels a little flat at the same time. i know i have a lot of emotions channeled into him, but they feel hard to express beyond excitement for virtual pets that can sometimes go too far, consequence wise (see: friendzoo).

"rin, you could just make him into petplay"- too easy. i think especially after making friendzoo, the concept is a bit weird for him to get into...he'd have a lot of complex feelings about that kind of thing, and would probably avoid it. all the same, i can imagine him getting into virtual worlds like something second life adjacent (or this one sims-like game we're working on in a future felid factor storyline...it would be really funny if he was into like, horny game modding, tbh). his problem however is his ability anomaly's tendency to make shit haunted as soon as he gets his hands on it, leading his game characters and files to behave in a creepypasta-like fashion. it's interesting to wonder whether he'd be into that element as well...i imagine when the anomaly first started acting up, it made him very scared- kind of like the feeling of having a toy lose battery and malfunction for the first time, where there's a sense of something being wrong.

as he grew more adjusted and mature, he realized he related more to the concept of being a haunted toy, even if he isn't really a toy himself, type wise. his toys became friends to him, possibly in a sort of "object sentience" sort of way...and this being ultimately realized, with friendzoo. he doesn't feel any kind of sexual or kink feelings towards rasters for obvious reasons- they are just little animal people in his computer- but sometimes he wishes he could be sucked into a digital and wander around like they can. i could see him saving up a lot of money for a VR rig or a holo-screen in order to feel things better, and maybe exploring things via that as well.

him being a horny roleplayer would make sense, but probably doesn't divulge he's a TCP often outside of designated spaces for it. it's too personal, and he's afraid of people's expectations conflicting with who he is. this probably can get a bit maladaptive sometimes, especially seeing as raggedy is prone to computer overuse and fixating on digital spaces for multiple days at a time with zero rest. he doesn't leave the house practically at all, and while that's not bad in and of itself, his reasons for doing so are ones he doesn't know how to work on, and deeply immersing himself in these spaces and exploring things is how he copes, for better or for worse.

partner-wise, he doesn't have a whole lot going on. it'd be nice to figure out some of his horny roleplaying buddies, maybe? or at the very least, characters he likes to inhabit. seeing as the sims-like game we're working on has multiplayer server functions, that'd probably be the best outlet for it. unhinged brain says throw a bit of SS13 server potential and furcadia dreams into it. we have never played SS13.

very possibly...it would be very funny if one of his plushes came to life because of his ability and started tormenting him. moving his stuff around and pushing things over and making a mess of things, only for the two of them to bond. it's hard to decide whether it'd be a "life size" or bigger plush meant for complexes (TCPs that are also toy fans have the fucking jackpot when it comes to being able to buy a plush that takes up your entire house), or a super miniature TCP-made one. but i do like this idea...it'd be hard for him to explain to other people, but i think he'd take his partner(?) out for adventures if he ever does leave the house. a rare occasion, but maybe having a little guy to help does wonders.

there are absolutely people like that. i mean, i could imagine some TCPs offering those services for a myriad of reasons- ability-based service work is the biggest avenue for TCP careers, after all. the main issue is that for a TCP to turn a complex into something, they either need an ability amplifier (a thing i am making up right now- they are very expensive, experimental, and tiring to use), a TCP that can have a similar effect to an amplifier (amplification type? ability type? ????), an ability anomaly, or some source of constant health flow wait this is just TCP feeding tubes okay. i'm not even into those and here they are through the power of worldbuilding. enjoy

my point is it'd be a very difficult endeavor for a TCP to fully TF a complex-scale person but it IS possible. TFing another TCP is a lot more doable, but would still sap a TCP's health pretty bad. this stuff is dangerous! unless you have a feeding tube i guess. god.

Tcps get a lot of plush options oooh. Even if he wasn't sure that they were a partner, still might help to have the plush there when exploring.
I feel like tcp are more likely to be understanding of it, considering the species as a whole has a lot going on. Having a plush partner is probably not the strangest thing but people probably wouldn't get the whole haunted part more so.

he would definitely need a partner who's cool with spooky bullshit. it happens around him constantly- mostly to his toys and games, but in general as well. sometimes your mirror just starts bleeding around him. the radio gets all fucky. you hear footsteps at night that aren't from anything. it's a nightmare for a lot of people, but for him, it's just his reality. most abstract types get to have complete control of their abilities, but raggedy's acts more along the lines of a ghost type, just with a campy horror aspect. i think that as for Active Interest goes, it really depends on the individual- like i said, most horror (genre) types wouldnt have the issue of things just, haunting around them, but i think itd go a long way for a partner to just...Be Okay With Active Ability Use if not embracing the aspect of "yeah stuff's gonna be spooky sometimes!"

yeah bloodplay would be big. i think raggedy would be pretty autistic about substances, so bloodplay would be fun. i don't think he'd be into pain much, though, so it'd be a lot of waiting around to see if something starts bleeding randomly in his house. it'd probably be fake blood, so fairly easy to mop up and store if it's not on a porous surface.

All of this is kind of reminding me I had a TCP idea rattling around my brain that has like, an ability nullification aura. It's proximity- and time-based - so for example, a creature type's "aura" (if they have an aura-ish ability) wouldn't be fully negated because it's impossible for a creature type to be close enough, and the aura is an "always there" thing. But they could revert one-time changes of things around them, for example, or shorten the duration of an abstract type's ascension, et cetera. Anything directly attached to their body would be reverted fastest. Something I completely didnt think about though is that this nullification process is very gradual. Detransformation. I guess.

The main reason I didn't execute this as a character concept yet is because I wasn't sure if I wanted it to be a character or some kind of typing that is capable of doing this. And also the idea of a TCP being able to do this is kinda [shakes hand from side to side uncertainly] to me, it means they're not playing by The Rules of TCPs, and I feel like a large part of the point of TCPs is about different TCPs having quirks that need to be worked around. (Not that it's a bad idea by any means, but for my creative needs, it might be a bit boring)

After all these years we discover the infinite TCP ability trick and it's a fucking feeding tube. We've truly opened the floodgates

i cant get over the feeding tube thing. i cannot fucking believe it. these are probably a thing in commercial use and we can never post about that in a project or i'll fucking die. maybe i do like these a little bit. god. we're cooking with gas now

permanent TCP nullification IS a thing that can happen and is a magically induced process, so i don't think it'd be too out of line to have a TCP that can do this. i haven't really thought about whether partial nullification is a thing- probably to some degree? it can be a really intensive process so i imagine it may be similar to what you're talking about where it goes away over time...and you could just, Stop doing it and have some effects come back and some persist, kind of similar to what i've heard about taking HRT (i am not on it myself currently), which is kind of funny. i imagine some TCPs do have ability dysphoria though, so it does make a lot of sense. 

if you're looking to make a puzzle out of it, i would say veer away from just "a type that can do this" and maybe work on a character that's studied nullification techniques and has made advancements either on or off the record. i think there could be a lot of intrigue there and potential for like, some kind of cool doctor or researcher or even just a mad scientist of sorts. obviously go with whatever but that's the kind of ideas that come to mind

TCP dating is a fucking nightmare. i cant imagine casual hookups are much better, especially if it's a mystery date sort of situation where TCP types might not be exchanged in advance. that would probably be a gameshow honestly, note to self. creature types especially have it bad, and there's probably a lot of instances where a relationship involving multiple creature types get REAL rough and/or weird.

i've been waffling on corruption a bit, but in the sense of the person still retaining most of their sense of self. he doesn't really like a lot of art/porn/etc of that kind of thing because it focuses a lot on identity death, and that spooks him more than a little. he more likes the idea of someone becoming more...well, i've mentioned the creepypasta thing, kind of like that. someone becoming Edgier and Spookier and knowing he had a hand in that. probably part of how he gets into the idea of a relationship with the plush he ends up haunting.

discord rambling elaborated a bit on that sims-like game i mentioned so here are our notes about it and some new stuff i came up with during the course of this thread so far.

PLAYMATES is a simulation game with both singleplayer and multiplayer capabilities, and is heavily based off of what we've seen of multiplayer sims mods. in the base game, players can form a server based on a household of anthropomorphic objects (typically toys), generally deviating from real-world construct types and veering more into the fantastical. the game itself is easy to mod even on top of the wide variety of in-game character customization, and many people trick out their characters with fashion, body mods, and heavy amounts of theming. these characters function as sim-like beings in the base game, but many people run roleplay servers with varying degrees of using the text chat for in-character dialogue- with players either doing their best to get their character actions to line up with that (they do have some degree of free will by default, and their own emotions), or doing actions first and figuring out the roleplay on the fly from the results.

like sims, this game has an expansion pack system, many including different kinds of server types such as dance clubs, schools, etc. the objects don't have life cycles so much as skill growth that grows more in-depth with time, and it's theorized that the head dev is a TCP basing a lot of the mechanics on their own species- leading to a huge TCP playerbase in the process. only the server owner needs to have the expansion pack to host a special locale, but players joining will have to have the packs to use other, clientside features that might enhance that locale's experiences. 

horny modded playmates is often referred to as SOULMATES, which i think is suitably cheesy and gives it more of an adult feel. this adds sexuality mechanics similar to those experienced by TCPs, likely added by TCP players in the first place- or similarly ace spectrum folks. characters can get horny whims and develop kinks, and often grow depressed if they can't act them out. i'd imagine there's a huge range of stuff people can get, and the mod has varying levels of autonomy for kink development. some people would probably be fine seeing their characters get whatever the psychological system has in mind for them, while others flick on the setting that lets them pick from a list. there may even be an f-list style system where people can toggle what stuff they want in their game or not, which helps with matchmaking in private servers as well. as is the case with many horny modded games there are also five billion animations of various janky qualities, with the actual level of effort put in being based on how much people on the dev team actually give a shit about the interest in question.

raggedy probably plays with a robot, computer, or virtual pet guy. while he absolutely adores plushes, he sees himself in his haunted toys, and would want to express that through a familiar medium. a haunted computer furry might be really cute, actually...let's go with that. his character has semi-autonomy on and developed a weird robot gore thing due to his ability's influence, which he's not sure how to feel about. he doesn't like seeing his guy get hurt in bad situations, but does feel a little bit of relief whenever his character expresses comfort and relief with having his wires and buttons get played with. there's probably a good bit of glitch horror involved, which spooks a lot of potential partners in casual sex club servers (think SL or furcadia), but he's found a few friends who like playing both sexually and story-wise.

thinking more about discussion from last night. i still cant decide on the size of raggedy's plush friend/potential partner but the idea of them being bigger than raggedy would be really fucking funny so i think i'm leaning towards that. since they'd be more than capable of using TCP furniture and goods (thinking 8 inch beanie baby bear size/proportions) raggedy might encourage them to strike out on their own instead of just remaining in his house- he doesn't want there to be a weird power dynamic and would honestly beat himself up a bit for catching feelings for his "creation", even if his ability wasn't under his control at the time. they might even take him up on this offer, only to return home after a while- saying that they missed him even after getting new perspectives. from there their relationship starts to blossom a bit, and rags is forced to confront his feelings when his plush roommate asks him if they can get a computer to play Soulmates with him............................the drama

this also means that the plush guy probably goes out to get the two of them groceries and such, encouraging raggedy to come along sometimes for health's sake. if anyone asks what typing the plush is, the two of them just say it's a secret.

Thought I'd dump some thoughts I've had
Tcp Kink/Sexuality thoughts

- Wolf/Dog types often are poly. Usually very attuned with who is dating who in a pack
- Cat types would probably be into somnophilia in a way (on the receiving end). Having someone pamper and carry them around while they sleep, waking up somewhere new and knowing your partner was delicate enough for you to not wake up
- Battle types would want partners who could at least give them some sort of a challenge in a fight + I imagine a lot of them are into enemy romances
- Tooth types are probably into bite play, but have to be mindful of who they choose in a partner/as a hook up.
- possession type shenanigans with a possessed partner. Have to be very clear about what they're allowed to do/be in control of.
--Reverse is some may like subspace for the change up
- Mentioned this... somewhere before, blanket types and smiliar cats like being kneaded
- Slime types could let their partners knead them and maybe even like... sink into them? Not sure how safe it is
- Twinkle light/fairy light types could be into bdsm and tying up their partners with light strings
- Nature types I feel like would make their partners the plant/object they are and give it to them, have to be pretty serious
- Hydra type can give their partners multiple kisses. That's the whole thought
- Crows foot, maybe some other skin like types, consider sharing skin care time with a serious partner to be a big step. Make them very vulnerable

oooh good thoughts. let me break down my further observations here

wolf/dog types involving pack dynamics would be interesting, especially considering stuff like "alpha dog/wolf" is very outdated and wouldn't be applicable- people would have to determine their own dynamics outside of that dichtomy, and that could be neat to mess with even outside of a power dynamic standpoint. what kind of roles does a person take to make the pack functional? does someone handle cooking, cleaning, etc? does someone help keep monetary stuff in order? all of these things can also lead to what's called "service" in BDSM circles if people want to involve that in the relationship- i've read some really good stuff about this in relation to disability in a book titled "kneeling in spirit", which i highly recommend if you're cool with reading about graphic sex/kink stuff and want to know how a lot of older people in the community handle long term/lifestyle relationships. it's also like five bucks as an ebook. it's good.

cat types and somno stuff...interesting, i do like it. somno is something you have to be really careful with because it can lean into dubious consent if you're not careful and have established terms and conditions for it, as well as failsafes- but i am interested in how it can be explored, and i think the examples you've given are pretty safe. being cuddled or pampered while sleeping is a really good exploration of that, and leans in well to the cat-ness on display. still, it'd be good for those characters to negotiate it pretty heavily in advance- trusting someone with your safety and wellbeing while you sleep is a very big deal.

battle types would definitely benefit from a rival-like stance, though i imagine some that are less leaning into tropes for their typing would want someone who can comfort them when they cool down from those periods of being riled up and fighty. it would be just as common for someone to want a more medic-like feel, even leaning into medical play at times. i think there's a lot of potential here.

tooth types are pretty straightforward in what would be enjoyed there, yeah- but i imagine there could also be an angle of dental care? being serviced through cleaning is a pretty standout BDSM kink and i think TCPs with oral fixations would have it pretty rough outside of seeking partners like this that have mouths- seeing as most don't. i can imagine some being drawn to it though, or even having phantom sensations...something to bond over with a tooth or similar type TCP, i guess. these partners likely have very big opinions on toothpaste and types of bristle.

possession types are fun and tap into a lot about what i like about mental fuckery. like you said though, it'd require a lot of pre-negotiated and active consent, because that's a lot of trust involved. i could honestly see a possession type and their partner(s) getting advice from plural systems that have active relationship dynamics or otherwise, seeing as losing front can often be a similarly jarring situation. it would be cool to see possession types write about these kinds of things, i think.

blanket types being kneaded is soooo cute, i love it. it would be very nice for them, and you could vary how much sensation it gives them based on whether it's solely on the blanket covering, or goes deep enough to reach the main body underneath. blanket types can still feel sensation on the blankets themselves, but i imagine the body underneath the surface is much more sensitive and intimate to the touch, considering it's covered up most of the time. especially provocative blanket types likely style their blankets to reveal more of that body underneath, whether it's the blanket being lifted up in some way, cut short, or cut holes into it. i imagine those who do that likely have patches and detachable addons, though- for modesty when needed. maybe some zippers? interesting.

slime and other permeable types can definitely hold their partners within their bodies, including stuff like ocean types etc. it does take a significant amount of pressure and to some degree consent to allow this to happen, and i can imagine due to risk of waterlogging it's a pretty trust-heavy and extreme kink to engage with. still, some TCPs that enjoy immobilization or being surrounded in things, such as soft vore or encasement, would be pretty happy with this.

twinkle/fairy light type bondage would be SO UNCOMFORTABLE for most TCPs but some people are very into that. TCPs with thick or malleable surfaces would do best with that, to avoid piercing or other injury. it would definitely have a lot of flair though, especially if the light type in question turns the lights on (which i imagine they can do at will). makes you wonder if this stuff is sold in stores for this purpose- lights that never go out.

yeah no nature type gifts are a big deal, especially if customized in some way. thinking about those trees grown to fit molds, or something. it'd be a lot safer to do that to a purposefully-crafted nature type product than a "normal" plant, i imagine, seeing as...i don't know how to explain it, but it wouldn't endanger the health of the plant too much. another interesting TCP type product?

hydra type kisses are important. i think hydra types are also very interesting due to their inherent multiplicity/plurality- it'd make navigating relationships interesting, especially with the fact that all of the heads are technically cofronting whenever theyre awake. that said- i feel like heads can sleep at different times.

i am really glad crow's foot is getting some love here! it's a really underappreciated type. i think that celebrating wrinkles as an attractive thing would be super awesome to see, perhaps even a lover trusting the crow's foot type to give them some as a mark of commitment. TCPs with wrinkles like that would be super rare, so it'd be a very noticeable mark of trust and devotion.

oh here's something interesting as an addendum re: somnophilia. TCPs do not Need to sleep, it is an active choice for them to rest in that way- they can just as easily remain conscious, so long as they get less movement in and destress a bit. sleep is something a lot of them are socialized to do while in complex society, but it isn't necessary for getting rest in. this means that indulging in the act of sleep as a purposeful choice both has more potentials for consent involved and is more of a deliberate act for TCPs to engage with, which is nice.

Okay yay! Lets see, might not respond to every thought but

I have a lot of thoughts about irl wolf packs to tcp dog pack dynamics but That Isn't A Topic For Now, thank you of course for knowing that Alpha/beta/omega is bs. Do like to imagine that certain cats might be handling certain roles, or maybe they have some sort of a chore wheel. Maybe packs in general tend to lean towards casual romantic relationships, with only a couple getting into more specific kinks. Is casual bdsm a thing? Would be for tcp. Would be cute for like, more "wild" dog type to go on a date with a "city" dog and them to figure out their personal dynamic. 
Should look more into "service" for bdsm. Think it's something Food types would be into? Also good to know about the book, dont have a thought besides that but is good to know about. Might look into it.

I am happy with the addendum, because I do know they don't have to sleep, but cats in real life sleep longer around people they trust, so I figured that might carry over a bit. Have to set very clear boundaries before getting too touchy, but I think it could be a good thing for cats to explore. Could even have a sleeping cat type with a blanket partner, or a sleeping bag carrying them around... just some cute stuff.

Ohhh I really like that. Someone they can go back to to calm down with, cuddle. Maybe both, have a partner to be there to help you/train with you (probably semi casual, My Bro sort of deal), have a partner to calm down with and heal your wounds (bit more serious). Think they'd probably get overlooked a bit so just like thinking about em.

Ohh I didn't think about tooth types being cleaned like that, I really like that. I think a few cats that might also have some sort of oral fixation might be like, food types, creature types based on carnivores (tigers, wolves, bears), and monsters. Maybe other body types? Some sort of mutual understanding between each other, and a longing for things missing?

Possession types and their partners asking for help from plurals is such an interesting concept. I really like that; it would be very cool to see. Might keep that as a one-shot idea? idk, don't wanna make you if you're unwilling since it's a bit specific.

Obviously love the cuddly blanket thoughts, but kinda love the idea of a blanket type fixing it so it's like a slit cut dress and they can poke their leg out. Also like the idea of a blanket type posting videos online of tutorials for other blankets on how to style themselves, show them ways to use patches or more common clothes like scrunchies, belts, and corsets. 

I am so happy to hear about the slimes and ocean types ahhh. Now I can see a fish type having their ocean type friend carry them around to like... go to a museum or something. super happy to know this.

Maybe you just wear a little twinkle light necklace to a party to fluster your partner. Tease them a little. And yeah, figure it wouldn't be the most comfortable bondage but it's very very personal. Could see the type in general be kinda into bondage. Also imagine if they had a bulb break and had to replace it, they might be self-conscious about doing that in front of a partner. Vulnerable moment, feel like they're damaged, and having someone comfort them after that would be sweet.

Nature types could make a decent amount of money selling mini plants honestly, complexes might appreciate it for dollhouses or pet cages.

Have to make sure you know which heads are your partners and have to give them kisses and get kisses back. Also just like that one head could take a break and the others would be fine without it. You'd have to use it to your advantage a bit. 

Tcp don't grow old in like get wrinkles kind of way, so I honestly imagine crow's feet could be a popular type among the species. Its uncommon and unique, other cats have to be at least a little fascinated. Having one as your partner and letting them mark you as a sign of love is so so special.
